Submit a request to showcase your publishing talent through our weekly challenges. Whether you’re an author, editor, designer, or other publishing professional, we feature your work and skills in front of our growing community.

Quill Pro Quo offers a few episode formats, depending on whether you’re joining us to highlight a particular project, walk through your process, or… tackle a fresh creative challenge on camera (details on this episode below).

Consider participating in one of The Quill’s Creative Challenge Episodes

How it works:

  • Submit your portfolio or sample work so it can be showcased to the audience
  • The Games Begin! Receive a challenge from an author (they will present a brief describing specific needs that they are looking for for a real-world project)
  • Get to Work! All participants will be given a generous timeframe (offline) to complete the author’s brief.
  • The Big Reveal! All participants show and tell

FINALLY: Tune in each week to see featured participants’ work and learn from others in your field.

How it works:

  • Submit your project parameters (e.g., Memoir needing cover designer, or children’s book needing illustrator)
  • Emily Kate will help you create a brief to be used as a “Challenge” on an upcoming episode. You’ll audition 2-3 participants to see how they fulfill your brief.
  • The Games Begin! All participants will complete the brief offline (given an appropriate deadline).
  • The Big Reveal! All participants show and tell.

AND FINALLY: Tune in each week to see talented people strut their stuff (for all your other project needs).
